On March 12, 2024, Anna Babicheva, associate professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Management and Marketing, as part of the volunteer and educational activities of the BF “For Life” held a thematic conversation with young people with the support of the Youth Hub of the KZ “Kharkiv Regional Library for Children and Youth” of the Kharkiv Regional Council.

During the conversation on the topic “The path from falling in love to love”, the participants sought answers to the questions of how to find true love and whether there is a difference between falling in love and love? In the form of an interactive conversation using the method of associations, it was possible to determine the main signs and differences of these feelings. Falling in love is the romantic beginning of a relationship and the opportunity to find love. It is interesting that the mechanism of the emergence of this feeling is based on ordinary biochemical processes in the body. Scientists have discovered that the state of euphoria during love is caused by a surge of hormones and neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin, adrenaline, testosterone, oxytocin, etc.). In terms of its strength, such euphoria is even similar to euphoria from the use of narcotic substances. But the period of falling in love does not last long – from several weeks to three years. Falling in love should be replaced by a stronger feeling – love. Euphoria passes, and love arises for the inner world of a person, for his personality. Therefore, it is important to create family relationships precisely at the stage of love. Because true love is long-suffering, it is merciful, it does not envy, it does not seek only its own, it endures everything, endures, believes and love never stops!
